In the frame of cooperation between Italy and Cyprus the Italian Archeological Mission of CNR under the instruction of professor Maria Rosaria Belgiorno and the Cypriot herbalist Mrs. Yianoulla Lazarou, have proceeded to the reproduction of the ancient fragrances found in Pyrgos. On the 15th of May during the 3rd herbal festival, the Italian Ambassador Dr Alfredo Bastinelli will be doing the opening of the exhibition, where many replicas of the ancient potteries found in Pyrgos, used for the production of perfumes, will be exhibited. There at the same time, will be exhibited the prehistoric process of producing the potteries as well as and the perfume production will be taking place as it used to be in 2000 BC. The whole event is a unique opportunity for the people to make contact with their history and learn more about the ancient perfumes.
